I captured this image while walking down 16th Street in downtown Denver. 16th Street is a Steet Mall in the city, and you can often find street performers entertaining the tourists. This dude seemed thrilled that I wanted to take his photo.
I captured this image while walking along 16th Street in downtown Denver. 16th Street is a Steet Mall in the city, and you can often find street performers entertaining the tourists. The story with this photo is that this young lady was out for lunch with with co-workers. and she had just raced across the street to beat some on-coming cross traffic. She turned around and seemed emphatic about encouraging her co-workers to also race across the street to join her. I enjoyed watching the scene play out, but I was also hypnotized by her red dress, her red ensemble (red purse) and her red hair and lips! I had a flashback to the fantastic movie, 'Woman in Red' starring Gene Wilder and Kelly LeBrock.
November 23, 2012 - Street Photography is a realm of photography that has started to interest me. I decided to try my hand at it by venturing into the craziness of downtown Denver to see what I could capture. I decided to keep it simple while trekking around downtown - one camera body and one lens, a 50mm. I've seen shots similar to this one in some photography literature, and I wanted to see if I could duplicate the effect here. Not bad for my first attempt (MHO).

I'm hoping that this particular shot doesn't convey any sense of voyeurism; the shot is not meant to be like that. The fact is that I was walking down 16th street in downtown Denver along with a thousand other tourists, and I glanced over and saw these two.
November 23, 2012 - Look who's laughing now! What, you ask, does that mean? Ha! Well, I'll tell you. Several years ago I woke up from a dream with an epiphany to start a fashion trend by wearing white socks with sandals. My family and friends scoffed at that notion and laughed at me telling me that the fashion trend I was trying to set was ridiculous. I didn't let their negativity disway me from becoming recognized as the next 'Tommy Hilfiger' or 'Calvin Klein', though. I continued to wear the ensemble with hopes that the world would recognize my genious one day. Well, that day came on November 23rd while walking along 16th street in downtown Denver. I ran across this dude who was clearly enamored with my keen fashion sense. And he wears it so well!! So now you know the answer to the opening question, Look Who's Laughing Now!!
Lift me, won't you lift me
